This beautiful family run villa is set in the stunning Hill Country near Kandy, Sri Lanka and boasts  views of  paddy fields, wooded hills and small tea plantations, which give visitors to Bougan Villa a true insight into village life in Sri Lanka. Bougan Villa's location also makes it the perfect place to stay and explore the ancient kingdom of Kandy.

Hospitable Hosts

Your hosts, Jim and Shirlene Muir, along with their staff, will warmly welcome you on arrival and serve you through out your stay. Shirlene is a native of Sri Lanka and can offer many insights into not only what to see and do in the area, but also the customs and expectations of this beautiful country. Jim is a Kiwi who has made Sri Lanka his home for the last 29 years! At Bougan Villa, nothing is too much trouble, so be it a trip to see the elephant sanctuary or a car to pick you up from and take you back to the airport, we can arrange it.

Luxurious Surroundings

There are 4 well appointed bedrooms in the villa, each named after an individual flower found in the garden at Bougan Villa and each with an en suite bathroom and their own veranda area or balcony where guests can enjoy breakfast. In addition we have an accessible room for wheelchairs, with a walk-in shower. All the rooms overlook the garden and the surrounding hills filled with greenery and bird life.
